Giorgio in my living room

If you are interested in music history, you'll hopefully be a fan of Italodisco, one of the most gorgeous styles of electronic music ever.

Rooted in the promising time of beginning Disco, Beat and Dance music it's one of the first forms of electro, characterized by dramatic use of synthezisers (especially Moog and Roland), poppy voices, all surrounded by a straight beatbox, made by drum machines, and a super-spacy sound wall.

If you can identify yourself with those few words above, download Ronny Pries' "Interstellar Disco Express", a wonderful 67min Italodisco mix including legendary tracks by Giorgio Moroder, Koto or The Human League.

Does Apple wanna say us, that this "offer" was injuring the company's moral codex? If yes, please, Steve Jobs, be forceful, shut down your bunch of shit company and tell us you're a communist.

What's the deal behind kicking "I am Rich" outta their portfolio?

"Art & Lifestyle - Not for everyone - only a few people own the secret mantra!"

Reason enough for sending 1000$ to a German/French development team and receive an iPhone tool, that tells you nothing except the awesome fact that you're rich?

Arrivare

A dream's coming true. He's gonna play. Thank you, non-existing god.

The Stephan Bodzin gig in September 20th at the Flex club was confirmed today. I can't believe, that I'll get a second chance to see him, after last year's decision not to see Bodzin in order to go to the DnB spectacle at the Arena.

Minimal at it's best, definitely'll be one of the most gorgeous concerts at the beginning last quarter of 2008.

Comment:

What a wonderful release. Dramatic emotional techno, touching an atmospherical milestone of electronic music and makes you wanna forget everything and travel to another dimension immediately.

Tribalaria

Did an interview with the Grazian didgeridoo/bass/guitar band RhythMen today.

Kinda cool alternation to always listening to Tech, Mnml and House. Will check them out, if I have the chance to.

They'll play on Friday here in Graz at the Didge and Bass festival, so if you've got the time, go there.

Lame 2.0

How come there is really NOTHING going on in the second biggest city of Austria?

Since today I'm officially "a Graza" (luckily only for the next 4 weeks), but looking at the "event list" (does it deserve this name? can someone ask a lawyer please?) makes me sick.

Who's interested in this "Sommerpause" shit at the Postgarage with hooker DJs like Pete van Weed (lol!), who cares about Balkanic music (did someone ever find this stuff great?) or wants to see the usual DnB DJs like Snare, Zonar or Daxta for the 10th time on stage?

Is Graz that lame or am I that used to Viennese circumstances (which aren't quite at it's top in current summer at all...) to be that negative?
