Will kommen, Österreich

OK, this is going out to all the nostalgic Austrians in here.

One of my absolute favourite singer/songwriters ever is gonna make his first live appearance after 11 (!) years on this Friday, headlining the "Festival des Wienerischen", which takes place at several locations all over Vienna and includes not only musical performances by e.g. Roland Neuwirth or Willi Resetarits, but also lections by legends like Ernst Hinterberger or Polly Adler.

His name is Sigi Maron.

Magnificient and popular activist of the in Austria never existing 1968 movement, member of the Communist Party of Austria, Maron was one of the most moulded musicians in the pseudo-revolutionary era between the mid-70s and 80s, publishing more than 10 LPs, a big amount of cassettes (yeah, some of you will ask yourselves what that is...) and also CDs.

He was also to be seen on Austria's best TV show ever, Tohuwabohu, which is an absolute must for everybody who hasn't heard of it. You'll never be able to watch anything like that in our beloved ORF anymore, as this show had the power and will to criticize all and everything in a way nobody has ever seen before.

Check Sigi Maron at 1:50 in the following vid:
