With this very atmospheric film based on the last days of Grunge legend Kurt Cobain, American director van Sant proves his wide range of genres he's able to cope with. Though the emotional side doesn't come to short, I miss the special something in this strip that catches me for this very deep thing called admiration. Paranoid Park, the first film directed by Gus van Sant I've seen till now, is much better in my eyes - very subjectively said I don't like films with a disappearing small amount of dialogs too much. Last Days is ona those.
